Muhammad Babangida is a skilled player of polo. He is a member of the Kaduna Polo Club. Polo is another of his main hobbies, along with the aforementioned reading. He is a leader in this present generation of young polo players. The Kaduna Polo Club is located in Kaduna, Nigeria. The Kaduna Polo Club is affiliated with the Nigerian Polo Association.

In addition, Muhammad Babangida has a history with the El-Amin Polo Team. He founded this team in October 1995. In 2013, the El-Amin Polo Team achieved their 13th IBB Cup.
